The Betty Effect

According to Psychology Today competitive women have high levels of estrogens. I knew it. The reason I am finding it so hard not to race Karen down the corridors of power is that I am working against nature. Like some crazy advanced atomic scientist.
Other distinguishing features of the high estrogen competitive female are that “they tend to be physically attractive, to have tempestuous romantic lives, and to be highly competitive with other women (what might be called the Marilyn Monroe effect).”

All true bar the fact I am more Ugly Betty than Marilyn.
